LITE-CHECK ANNOUNCES THE RELEASE OF INSPECTOR SOFTWARE 8.2
FEATURING MILEAGE READING FOR TRAILER ABS CONTROLLERS

A new version of the software that powers LITE-CHECK’s INSPECTOR, a computer-driven trailer tester for air, lighting and ABS controllers, has been released.  The new INSPECTOR Software, version 8.2, has been enhanced with the ability to retrieve mileage information from trailer ABS controllers.

A LITE-CHECK INSPECTOR running this new software release will retrieve odometer readings from trailer ABS controllers manufactured by Haxdex, Wabco, and Bendix.

For all INSPECTOR and model 910B testers currently operating with software version 8.0 or higher, this new release is a direct software upgrade.  For LITE-CHECK 910B testers currently running software version 7.x or older, electrical upgrades may be necessary prior to installation of this new release.

All 910B and INSPECTOR 910B testers produced since 1995 can be upgraded to operate with this latest software release.  Testers sent in to be upgraded to support version 8.2, and older testers renewed through the LITE-CHECK INSPECTOR refurbishment program, will have their internals modernized, and will be returned functionally identical to a newly purchased INSPECTOR.

Taking the LITE-CHECK “One Tool, One Person” philosophy another step forward, this enhancement further reduces the need for manufacturer specific tools, and provides a fast and cost-effective tool  to troubleshoot and clear the ABS faults on every modern trailer in your fleet.  The LITE-CHECK INSPECTOR is the only tool available that includes full air management, computer aided electrical system inspection, and multi-manufacturer ABS ECU support into a single tool appropriate for service bay and service truck applications.
